Postpartum Depression And Its Effects On Early Brain...

Postpartum psychiatric disorders, particularly depression, has become the most underdiagnosed complication in the United States. It can lead to increased costs of medical care, inappropriate medical care, child abuse and neglect, discontinuation of breastfeeding, and family dysfunction and adversely affects early brain development (Earls, 2010). Over 400,000 infants are born to mothers that are depressed. One of 7 new mothers (14.5%) experience depressive episodes that impair maternal role function. An episode of major or minor depression that occurs during pregnancy or the first 12 months after birth is called perinatal or postpartum depression (Wisner, Chambers Sit, 2006). Mothers with postpartum depression experience feelings of extreme sadness, anxiety, and exhaustion that may make it difficult for them to complete daily care activities for themselves or for others (Postpartum Depression). The six stages of postpartum are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance a nd PTSD. These stages may affect any women regardless of age, race, ethnicity, or economic status. However only a physician can diagnose a woman with postpartum depression. It does not occur because of something a mother does or does not do, it’s a combination of physical and emotional factors. After childbirth, the levels of hormones in a woman’s body quickly drop; which may lead to chemical changes in her brain (Postpartum Depression). Unbalanced hormones may trigger mood swings.Show MoreRelatedMaternal Depression : A Standard ( New York State Department Of Health1048 Words   |  5 Pageswidespread recognition of the problem of maternal depression and the potential benefits of screening, screening for maternal depression is not a standard (New York State Department Of Health, 2016). Symbolism Of The Yellow Wallpaper By Charlotte Gilman Perkins

Symbolism in The Yellow Wallpaper Society was horrendously different in the 19th century from what it is today. Women didn’t have much of a say in anything. They were not permitted to give evidence in court, and they also did not have the right to speak before a public audience. Woman were not involved in the workforce and they were not allowed to vote. Once a woman married, her husband legally owned all she possessed, including her clothes, jewelry, and children. If a woman’s husband died, on the other hand, she was only entitled to a third of his estate. Charlotte Gilman Perkins desperately wanted to help in the fight to change this. She wanted people to understand the fight for equality of women in that time period. She conveys this through numerous symbols in her short story â€Å"The Yellow Wallpaper†. She wanted people to be informed about the restrictions that were enforced on women, their lack of interaction with the public, and the struggle females went through in the 1800s. The yellow wallpaper is one of the most diverse and imperative symbols within the short story. It can be interpreted in many different ways. It symbolizes many things about the narrator and Gilman herself. It is also a symbol of the mental block that men attempted to force upon woman in the 19th century. The color yellow is often times related to illness or weakness, and therefore the storyteller’s mysterious unhealthiness is another example of male dominance over the writer. We will write a custom essay sample on Tred Paper or any similar topic only for you Order Now One day, the son realized all his faults and he finally came into his senses. He remembered his father and decided to return home to ask for forgiveness and mercy. His father welcomed his son with open arms. Due to the father’s happiness, he ordered his servants to prepare a celebration. Meanwhile, the older son was not happy when he came home, working the fields, only to find out that there was a party for the return of his younger brother. The father tried to prevent the older brother for being jealous and the father said â€Å"You are always with me, and everything I have is yours. So, from what I think, the younger son was selfish and immature for asking his part of the family’s inheritance even if that the father was not dead. Second, when the younger son took the job of feeding the pigs and even eating the pig’s food, it shows that he had sunk as low as he could possibly go. The son represents a person living in rebellion to God. I think that before we come into our sense, we should first experience failures. Third, the father is the image of the Heavenly Father. God is a symbol of love and is patient. He helps us when we return to him with humble hearts. He is not interested from what we have done in the past but forgives us. Lastly, the older son represents an image of the Pharisees. By being self-righteousness, they forgot to be a happy when a sinner returns to God. I think that the bitterness and resentment are what kept the older son to forgive his younger brother. How to cite Tred Paper, Papers

Question: 1. Explain the techniques that you have used to investigate the new automated information system for the case study organization and the reasons for choosing them? Answer: Introduction The report is describing the Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) System. Holiday Travel Vehicles sells new recreational vehicles and travel trailers. The report is describing the complete management system of Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) by using UML diagrams. The domain class model is showing the objects, classes and attributes which are being used in the Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) system. Without domain class model; the system will not be developed. Thus every model is necessary to describe and implement a good system. Activity diagram shows the workflow of every process of the entire system graphically while the system sequence diagram shows every aspect like actors, events, their order and complete flow of events of the entire system. The report is describing the changes in the previous system also. There were some drawbacks in the previous system. Only one person was able to access the system at a time in previous system which was a bottleneck for the system. That is why the new system has some changes. In new system, every authorised person can login to the system and can access the system. Every person has no right to update database. Only authorized persons can access the system which will improve the performance of the system and will reduce redundancy. Techniques to Investigate New Automated Information System There are some techniques which used generally in the investigations of information systems- Observing Analysing Formal Interviews Questionnaire In analysing the Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) System, Observing and analysing technique has been used because in formal interviews and questionnaire, staff members are required of the Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) System are required for investigation. Analysing and Observing techniques are used because for these techniques, the data is sufficient. We have proper document and explanation of the previous system by which we can analyse the drawbacks of the previous system. The case study is clearly showing the drawback of the previous system, which is very useful to implement new proposed system. That is why Analysing and Observing techniques are best in analysing Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) System. Use Case Diagram Use Case Diagram is showing the complete behaviour of the Holiday Travel Vehicles (HTV) system. The use case diagram shows all the internal and external users of the system.
